Dental implants are a fantastic option for anyone who has one or more missing teeth. Having been widely used throughout the past 40 years, a dental implant is an anchor, to which we can attach an artificial tooth or crown, which will provide a strong, functional and aesthetically natural appearance to match your existing teeth.
A dental implant is a special ‘screw’ which is inserted into the jawbone with 3-5 mm protruding and left to naturally attach itself. As dental implants are made primarily from titanium, they are biocompatible and will naturally bond to the surrounding tissues and bone. Throughout this process, your natural teeth are not disturbed. After ca. 2-6 months (depending on individual circumstance) the process will be complete, forming a solid foundation to which the crown can be attached.
Unlike dentures dental implants provide a more permanent solution for tooth loss, and are fully functional, durable and aesthetic. If you are suffering from tooth loss or desire a more permanent solution than dentures, contact our staff to arrange a consultation.
