At Newcastle Family Dental we strive to deliver results that will exceed your expectations. To help facilitate and achieve these results we use current technology to ensure that your treatment is performed in a most comfortable, relaxed and efficient manner. In order to provide you with an understanding of some of the technology and facilities we use, we invite you to read through the section below.

CEREC represents the forefront of porcelain restorative technology. A highly coveted machine, CEREC is able to create inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges and veneers in our practice so they can be fitted in a single sitting. This procedure strives to make your treatment more efficient and your restoration more accurate.

Firstly your experienced dentist will take a precise model of your teeth. After in-depth discussions and digital simulations, your dentists will expertly plan your restoration. Then, a solid block of porcelain is inserted into the CEREC machine, and your dental appliance is created while you wait. Finally, the appliance will be fitted to your tooth so you walk out enjoying a more durable, functional and aesthetically pleasing restoration.

Orthopantomograms (or OPG) gives your dentist a panoramic dental x-ray of your upper and lower jaws. This allows your dentist to gain a comprehensive understanding of any issue regarding your jaw and the design of a superior, more personalised treatment plan.

Low Dose Digital X-Rays

Low Dose Digital X-Rays have surpassed traditional film x-rays and are now at the forefront of x-ray technology. As a safer, more efficient option, digital x-rays produce 90% less radiation and their results can be viewed almost instantaneously on the overhead computer screen. This allows for your dentist to efficiently detect and treat any potential problems before they escalate.
